How to use it

- 2 Drag the crop area or enter exact x, y, width, and height values.
- 3 Export the cropped result as PNG, WebP, or JPG and download it locally.
Useful for
- Creating square profile images or thumbnails
- Preparing a focused crop before resizing or compressing
- Removing unwanted edges from screenshots and photos without uploading them
Good to know
- This first version crops one image at a time and does not support batch cropping.
- Cropping re-encodes the image, so metadata, color profiles, and animation are not preserved.
- The interactive crop box is pointer-friendly, but numeric inputs remain the most precise method on small screens.
Questions
Image Cropper FAQ
Does the Image Cropper upload my image?
No. The crop selection, preview, and exported image stay inside your browser. Utilshub does not receive the file.
Can I choose a fixed aspect ratio?
Yes. This first version supports free crop plus common aspect ratios such as 1:1, 4:3, 16:9, and 9:16.
Does cropping keep metadata?
No guarantee. Cropping re-encodes the image in the browser, so EXIF, GPS, color profiles, and animation are usually not preserved.
Why did the cropped image size change so much?
The output is a newly encoded file. Crop dimensions, chosen output format, transparency, and quality settings can all change the final file size.
