PDF-light tool / image export
PDF to Image
Convert selected pages from a local PDF into PNG images directly in your browser. No upload occurs.
How to use it
- 1 Choose or drop one PDF file.
- 2 Select the page numbers or page ranges you want to render and choose the scale.
- 3 Render the selected pages locally, then download one PNG or a ZIP archive.
Useful for
- Turning a cover page or brochure page into a shareable image
- Extracting selected pages for social or design workflows
- Creating PNG snapshots of PDF pages without uploading the original document
Good to know
- This first version outputs PNG only and does not edit PDFs, OCR text, or preserve vector quality.
- Large, encrypted, damaged, or unusual PDFs may fail or render slowly in the browser.
- Rendered pages are rasterized images, so selectable text, form fields, and links are not preserved.
Questions
PDF to Image FAQ
Does the PDF to Image tool upload my PDF?
No. The PDF is opened and rendered entirely inside your browser. Utilshub does not receive the file or the generated images.
Why is PNG the only output format right now?
PNG keeps the first release simpler and more reliable. PDF pages are already rasterized during rendering, and PNG avoids extra format tradeoffs while the workflow is still new.
Why do some PDFs fail to render?
Encrypted, damaged, unusually complex, or very large PDFs can exceed browser limits or use PDF features that are not handled perfectly in this local first version.
Does the output keep selectable text or links?
No. The tool renders each selected page as a raster image, so text, form fields, links, and vector information are flattened into pixels.
